SEO stands for search engine optimization. On a monthly basis, there are literally billions of online searches. In order to capitalize on this, it is vital that your site ranks high for keywords that are relevant to your website! SEO is essentially a strategy designed to boost your websites rankings in search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo.
Basically, when people search the internet for your products, services or information, your website needs to be the first they find! The higher your website ranks in the search engines, the more traffic it will receive.
With that said, it is important to have a well rounded SEO campaign. A proper SEO campaign should include, but is not limited to, keyword research, on-page optimization, off-site tactics and definitely link building.
There are plenty of companies that charge a premium rate to do this for you or you can learn to how to do it yourself. To be honest with you, it is not hard, but it can be time consuming, especially if you are going after keywords that have a lot of competition.
Either way, I recommend that you at least learn the basics of SEO, then you are not as vulnerable to being scammed or having your site removed from the search engines databases for “black hat” techniques!
